Romola Garai is a British actress, writer, and director. She is pretty famous for her appearances in the movies Amazing Grace, Atonement, and Glorious 39, and in BBC series such as Emma, The Hour and The Crimson Petal and the White.
Romola who has been named twice for a Golden Globe Award and is BAFTA designated is currently married to Sam Hoare. He is British actor famous for his role in BBC1’S Olympic drama Bert and Dickie. The husband and wife are blessed with two children. 
Romola’s Early Life and Education
Garai was born on 6th of August 1982 in Hongkong where father’s family was from the Jewish background. A bank manager Adrian E.R. Garai and mother Janet A who brought up Romola and her three siblings. Garai’s family moved to Singapore when she was five years and they got back to England where she studied in an independent school named Stonar School in Wiltshire at the age of eight.
 Further, when Garai was sixteen she went to London to admit in the A-levels related school named City of London School for Girls and she finished up her A-levels there.  
Garai was interested in drama since her childhood and she also showed up in school programs. Furthermore, she accompanied with  National Youth Theater at the age of eighteen where the drama specialist found her acting good and took her as a role of Dame Judi Dench in BBC film The Last of the Blonde Bombshell. 
Romola’s career
Starting Romola’s career in 2000 she was first seen in the BBC series The Last of the Blonde Bombshells, where she played a role of Judi Dench. From that phase, she was entered into this field slowly where she got the opportunity of acting in the another BBC 26 television series Attachments from 2000-2002. 
Garai started playing a major film role in Nicholas Nickleby as Kate Nickleby a supporting role. That film cast won the Best Ensemble from the National Board of Review. She was nominated for her role in I Capture the Castle as Most Promising Newcomer by British Independent Film Awards. 
Garai was nominated for BIFA for her best-supporting-actress award as a role of Siobhan in the Independent film Inside I’m Dancing where she won the  British Supporting Actress of the Year award from the London Film Critics Circle. 
Similarly, Garai earned two nominations for Best Lead Actress in Television from the Australian Film Institute and Most Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series from the Logie Awards. The Observer. She played in many movies further where she got the positive reviews with her outstanding performances. 
In the same way, Garai was nominated for the Prix Lumiere award as a Best Female Newcomer for Angel, she was the first British actor who was nominated for the award. Garai for her execution in the film Atonement got the Best Actress nomination from the Evening Standard British Film Awards.
Garai starred in the film The Other Man along with Liam Neeson, Laura Linney and Antonio Banderas where she marked herself in Stephen Poliakoff’s Second World War thriller Glorious 39 where the film has appeared in Toronto International Film Festival for the world premiere. 
Garai featured in the BBC one television series Emma along with Jonny Lee Miller and Sir Michael Gambon and was nominated for the Golden Glove for her fruitful performances. She appeared in the fourth part of BBC drama The Crimson Petal and the White which was based on Michael Faber. For her role in that series, she was nominated for the best actress at 2012 BAFTA awards. She featured in the television series The Hour as a role of Bel Rowley for which she was nominated for Golden Globe. 
In 2017 she featured in the miniseries of Channel 4 named Born to Kill as a role of Jenny being the mother of a schoolboy who tends to be a psychopath. 
Personal Life of Romola
Garai has attracted many fans with her beautiful and charming looks. Talking about her personal life she first gave birth to a baby girl in March of 2013 after the delivery of her baby she got married to British actor Sam Hoare in July 2014. 
Similarly, The couple happily welcomed their second child. Talking about Garai’s past affairs she was involved in a relationship with Diego Luna in 2003. The pair broke up their relationship in the following year where they have not revealed what was the reason behind their split.
