The veteran worked as a BBC trainee at the Radio Humberside, the Radio Guernsey, the famous Radio Bristol, the Radio Sheffield, and also the Radio Merseyside.
It was in 1994, that she joined Radio 4 and went to freelancing in the year 1999. She moved to a lot of places because later Shelagh moved on to Radio 5 which was a Live version. She was the co-presenter in the awesome Weekend Breakfast before she herself co-hosted the fab Breakfast program after taking over Gabby Logan in the year 2011.
Well, she can't be in a place always and has to exercise her talents too. So, she decided to leave Radio 5 Live on July in 2014. Well after that, it was found out that she would be joining the station to present the 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on the weekday slot in December of the same year. An awesome personality which made her win the Sony Silver Award for the Best News and Current Affairs Programme with Nickie Campbell for the super 5 Live Breakfast program.
Now currently, she is presenting the afternoon program on 5 LBC.
